Jack

Jack and his Parents are staying with us for a few weeks before they move to Missouri. I am going to miss this little guy and his sweet personality! I know that he will not remember this time together but I will never forget. I hope he can look back when he is older and read about how much his Grandma and Grandpa Steed loved him! His cousins Ella and Ethan will miss him 

as well as his Aunts and Uncle! He has been helping Grandma this week, he loves to vacuum and he wants me to hold him every time I pull the vacuum out. As I vacuum while holding him he laughs the whole time! I love his little laugh and how his eyes sparkle when he smiles! 

I have seen him usually once a week at least since he was born so this is going to be really hard for me!  I will be doing face time for sure! Thank goodness for technology!  Jack will be living with his other Grandma soon and I am sure that she will be so happy to have him there! He is a lucky boy to have a family that loves him so much! I love you Jack!

Finished my chest that I bought for 10$ with the help of my husband! I love how it turned out!

The Tree

There is a Tree outside our window and I have been watching it change the last few months .

I love It!

I recently bought a chest at a thrift store for 10$, I know 10$!! I have been searching for the right piece of furniture for my entry way to put family photos on. I found it! I decided to paint it red and so I went to the local hardware store downtown main street and found the right color .  Here is the before picture and will share the after picture when it is finished!

I also bought some kitchen items at the hardware store that has every imaginable kitchen gadget you can think of! I could spend hours and hours in that store browsing and buying kitchen tools. I was looking for a Donut pan and found it there, I had looked every where for one and they ended up having it. So happy! Then I saw a French Bread pan and I got that too!  When I told my husband that I found the Donut pan, he said, " I wasn't aware we needed a Donut Pan", ha ha! He just doesn't understand. When it was snowing all day on Friday I made donuts and French bread with my new pans!

The Art of Crocheting

I love to crochet, my Mom taught me how when I was 12 years old or so. My Mom has developed the Art of Crocheting and she has made some beautiful blankets one for each of her Grandchildren over the years, each one has received their own blanket made my Grandma Faye. She has 11 grandchildren so she has made 11 beautiful blankets over the last 11 years. I know that they all cherish their blankets made by Grandma. I hope someday to develop the art of crocheting like my Mom. But for now I can make baby blankets for my Grand kids. I just made a baby blanket for baby Stephanie who was born 2 months early and struggled her first few months of life, but is now thriving thanks to a Mother's Love and many prayers! She is the beautiful granddaughter of my good friend and the daughter of my daughter's good friend. I hope she likes it and knows it was made with love!

Grandpa and Jack

Last night we watched Jack while his Mom and Dad went to a meeting at Church. Jack instantly attached to Grandpa and wanted Grandpa to hold him. He soon fell asleep. Jack is a good baby! We love him so much! Jack is lucky to have such a Great Mommy and Daddy that love him and take such good care of him.

Have I done any good in the world today?

I did not know how hard it was to Create a blog! I have been trying all day to set this up and I am wondering if I can really do this! I hope I have enough time in my life to devote to blogging. Ha ha!

Changes

Life changes everyday, sometimes it is good and sometimes not so good! That is life! I have a friend that was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and he is the most positive person I know in fact his attitude is contagious as he shares his love of life with everyone he comes in contact with! 

I only hope that I can be as positive about life as he is. Life is Good! May we all be instruments in his hands to help others through this journey we call "Life".
