Summer Memories 2013

We have had a busy summer! We have been boating and to Santa Cruz, we went to the coast with our friends a few times and Ashley, Derrick, and Jack came for 3 weeks and we went to Tahoe for the day and also went to San Francisco. Seems like we were doing something every weekend! We celebrated the 4th by going to a Pancake breakfast and then to the parade in town. The night before we saw fireworks in El Dorado Hills after the movies. It was spectacular! Here are the photos that show what we did this Summer! Oh , how I love summertime, it is my favorite time of the year!

Dear Jack, Today you are 2 ! You are growing up too fast! Seems like yesterday your Mommy and I were going to lunch and you were in her tummy growing! Then you were born and you were so sweet! Your Mommy and Daddy took such good care of you and loved you so much! They were so happy to be parents!

You are such a happy boy and I love that you are starting to talk in sentences! I wish I could see you everyday! But I know that you are happy and healthy and you have a loving family that takes good care of you!

Just remember always how very much we love you!

Paradise

In April we went to Kauai, we usually go every other year. We love this island! It is so beautiful. We met my husband's sister and her husband there. We had a great visit with them and lots of laughter! We always have so much fun when we are together! We saw a lot of beautiful beaches, went swimming, relaxed-and went snorkeling! I saw some amazing fish, some that I have not seen before. There were some Monk Seals on the beach where we were staying and were able to see them up close. We also saw Whales and Sea Turtles. The days went by too fast and then we had to come home to reality. We miss Kauai and are looking forward to going back next year!

Helping Hands in the Community!

Mormon Helping Hands started 4 years ago in California and Hawaii. We have a designated date in April that we help with projects in the Community. I have had the opportunity to be involved in Helping Hands from the beginning and I have seen and felt the impact of being able to serve in the Community. You may have also seen the Yellow Vests of those serving in disasters such as Hurricane Sandy most recently. Volunteers come together and serve and we get the job done!

On Saturday, April 27th, thousands of volunteers came together in their local communities and  gave of their time and talents to complete projects such as landscaping at schools, painting, and cleaning up at local parks.
