Christmas, Family and New Baby!
So... Our family had a lot going on this holiday season! First My daughter Ashley and her husband Derrick and baby Jack moved in before Christmas. We all got sick with a cold and coughed for the entire Christmas season. That was fun! We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day despite our colds. On Christmas Eve we had a program, my husband read about he birth of Christ from the scriptures, Ashley read about the symbols of Christmas showing the kids each symbol ..then we sang Christmas songs while D played the Guitar. Ethan and Ella with their Elf Hats danced and sang. It was so funny! Then we read " 'twas the night before Christmas" Emily read to the kids. By this time it was pretty late so Melissa And Joe took the kids home so Santa could come to their house. We went over to our friend's house next door and sang carols and took our present to them.
Christmas morning was busy and the kids loved their presents, Ethan and Ella wanted dream lights and were thrilled when they opened their present and got them. Jack, hmmm... He is fifteen months so he did not really care what he got. Maybe next year! After breakfast we had to get ready because we were having a family portrait done. We got ready and went outside to have the photo taken and it started to snow! It was freezing! Bob the photographer did a great job and got us back inside in no time. I am so glad we did this as Ashley and D left to live in Missouri and we are not sure when they will be coming back. Capture the Memories!
On December 29th, Eli James was born. Eli is our 4th grandchild and we are so thrilled he is here and healthy! Ash and I were able to be in the delivery room when he was born. It is a special and sweet experience to see your grandchildren born. I recommend if you ever get the chance to be there do it! The miracle of birth is so special and wonderful! We love you Eli! You are very special!
