I celebrated my 54th Birthday yesterday! Birthday's are not as fun when you are older but they are a time to reflect on the past. Yesterday as I reflected on becoming one year older and wiser too! I thought about how much I miss my Dad and how he was not going to call me or send me a card to wish me a Happy Birthday. It made me sad and then my Grandkids came over and brought me presents and I was reminded that I am a Mother and Grandmother that can make a difference in the lives of my children and grandchildren by my actions. In other words what I do now and the person that I am will affect future generations to come. Just as my Dad's life taught us about living I am now doing the same. My Birthday wish is that I can become the person that would make my Dad proud and also my children and Grandkids. I hope they will remember me in a good way. Ethan and Ella brought me flowers and candy! I had a great Birthday with so much love from my family and friends! I love you all so much!

Tea Party
Ella called me on the phone this morning and told me that she did not want to go shopping and out to lunch for our special girls day. Ethan , Grandpa, Joe and Cameron were going to the Autorama
So Melissa and I decided to do a Girls Day out and do something with Ella. So when I asked Ella what she wanted to do she said, " I want to have a Tea Party at your house" . I needed to think of something to make for the Tea Party. I ended up making Deviled Eggs, Cheese Puff things I got at Costco and a Fruit Pizza with cookie crust. We had Lemon Meringue Herb Tea and in Ella's words "It was gross". Lol! We invited Addi and Tia over, Addi is 6 months old so she was not really into it. Ella loved it, and then we took her into town and Aunt Em painted her nails at the Beauty Salon! I think she had a special day with Mom and Grandma. She has been feeling a little in the middle lately since baby brother Eli was born.

Orange Marmalade
Several weeks ago we went to my Mom and Larry's house to pick oranges.
Ethan and Ella picked them with the help of their Dad and Grandpa. We came home
With lots of oranges! They are the best oranges and they actually taste like an Orange!
We look forward to the picking of oranges every year! As repayment of giving us oranges
I make Orange Marmalade for my Mom. I give some away and keep some for me too. I have a great recipe from Barefoot Contessa that I use and it is a two day process so I have to do when I know I can be home. It is my therapy! I love staying home it helps me to stay sane!
